  • Emerging Young Leaders Initiative

    The Emerging Young Leaders (EYL) program impacts the lives of girls in grades six through eight in Cobb County by providing leadership development, civic engagement, character building and enhances academic preparation. This program is being implemented at Tapp Middle School.

     

    College Prep Program

    The College Prep Program which runs during the school year, provides mentors, college preparation workshops, materials and information for high school females attending Cobb County/Marietta high schools. This program also requires college prep students to complete hours of community service during the summer. Applications are usually available during the March-April timeframe for the following school year.

    Golden Citizens

    Seniors of Branson Homes and Johnny Walker Homes of Marietta comprise the Golden Citizens program. This program is designed to raise awareness of health, financial and safety concerns relevant to seniors, while providing an opportunity for fellowship.  

  • Scholarship

    Award scholarships to female seniors that reside in Cobb county and attend school in a Cobb county or Marietta high school.  Since 1988, more than $183,000 has been awarded to local area students.

    Health

    Partner with the American Heart Association to raise awareness and education related to heart disease and stroke among women in minority populations.  We will also address asthma prevention and management, with a focus on early diagnosis, treatment, and parental education.  

    Global Poverty

    Partner with organizations such as UNESCO and Heifer International, whose mission is to end hunger and preserve the environment.

    Economic Security

    Engage the community in programs that focus on wealth building, home ownership, estate planning and empowerment of female entrepreneurs.

    Social Justice and Human Rights

    Address issues such as domestic violence, human trafficking, children in homeless shelters, and youth who are aging out of foster care.
